The foundation stone of the whole scheme is service. Service to the people, a service that will lighten, brighten, and make more profitable the lives of the majority who do the necessary work of the world.
True freedom is like an evergreen tree, which is free as well as restrained. While every tree is subjected to the same restrictions by nature, these restrictions are imposed to optimize the growth and development of a tree’s latent potential.
Freedom is a natural right of man, a spiritual privilege, a moral prerogative, and, above all, a religious duty. The Islamic concept of freedom is an article of faith, a solemn command from the Supreme Creator. It is built on the following fundamental principles. First, man’s conscience is subject to Allah only, to Whom every man is directly responsible. Secondly, every human being is personally responsible for his deeds and he alone is entitled to reap the fruits of his work. Thirdly, Allah has delegated to man the responsibility to decide for himself. Fourthly, man is sufficiently provided with spiritual guidance and endowed with rational qualities that enable him to make responsible, sound choices. Within the framework of this Islamic concept of freedom, there is no room for religious persecutions, class conflict, or racial prejudice. The individual’s right of freedom is as sacred as his right of Life; freedom is the equivalent of Life itself.
Anyone of you who sees wrong, let him undo it with his hand; and if he cannot, then let him speak against it with his tongue, and if he cannot do this either, then (let him abhor it) with his heart, and this is the least of faith.
The best of people is one from whom good accrues to humanity.
Deal gently with the people, and be not harsh; cheer them and condemn them not.” (Prophet Muhummad- Peace be upon him)
There is no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error. Whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah has grasped the strongest bond that never breaks. Allahs knows all, and hears all things. (Qur’an, 2:256)
The Truth is from your Lord. Let him who wills, believe, and let him who wills, disbelieve. (Qur’an, 18:29)
O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.
Surat Al-Hujurat [49:13] – The Noble Qur’an – القرآن الكريم
Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] – those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.
Surat Al-Baqarah [2:62] – The Noble Qur’an – القرآن الكريم
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
Surat Al-Baqarah [2:256] – The Noble Qur’an – القرآن الكريم
And say, “The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills – let him believe; and whoever wills – let him disbelieve.” Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.
Surat Al-Kahf [18:29] – The Noble Qur’an – القرآن الكريم
Ey insanlar! Şüphesiz ki biz, sizi bir erkek ve bir dişiden (Âdem ile Havvâ’dan)yarattık. Birbirinizi tanımanız için de sizi, milletler ve kabîleler kıldık. Doğrusu Allah katında sizin en üstün olanınız, en takvâlı olanınızdır. Muhakkak ki Allah, Alîm (herşeyi hakkıyla bilen)dir, Habîr (herşeyden haberdâr olan)dır.
Kur’ân-ı Kerim ; Hucurât sûresi, 49/13
Şüphesiz ki (zâhiren) îmân edenler, yahudi olanlar, hristiyanlar ve sâbiîler yok mu, (onlardan) kim Allah’a ve âhiret gününe (hakikaten) îmân edip sâlih bir amel işlerse, artık onların, Rableri katında mükâfâtları vardır; onlara hiçbir korku yoktur, onlar mahzun da olmazlar.
Kur’ân-ı Kerim ; Bakara sûresi, 2/62
Dîn(e girme)de zorlama yoktur; îman küfürden şübhesiz iyice ayrılmıştır. Artık kim tâğûtu (Allah’ın yerine tuttukları herşeyi) inkâr edip Allah’a îmân ederse, böylece şübhesiz kopmayan çok sağlam kulpa tutunmuştur! Allah ise, Semî’ (hakkıyla işiten)dir, Alîm (herşeyi bilen)dir.
Kur’ân-ı Kerim ; Bakara sûresi, 2/256
Ve de ki: Hak, Rabbinizdendir. Öyle ise dileyen iman etsin, dileyen inkâr etsin. Biz, zalimlere öyle bir cehennem hazırladık ki, onun duvarları kendilerini çepe çevre kuşatmıştır. (Susuzluktan) imdat dileyecek olsalar imdatlarına, erimiş maden gibi yüzleri haşlayan bir su ile cevap verilir. Ne fena bir içecek ve ne kötü bir kalma yeri!
