The foundation stone of the whole scheme is service. Service to the people, a service that will lighten, brighten, and make more profitable the lives of the majority who do the necessary work of the world.

True freedom is like an evergreen tree, which is free as well as restrained. While every tree is subjected to the same restrictions by nature, these restrictions are imposed to optimize the growth and development of a tree’s latent potential.

Freedom is a natural right of man, a spiritual privilege, a moral prerogative, and, above all, a religious duty. The Islamic concept of freedom is an article of faith, a solemn command from the Supreme Creator. It is built on the following fundamental principles. First, man’s conscience is subject to Allah only, to Whom every man is directly responsible. Secondly, every human being is personally responsible for his deeds and he alone is entitled to reap the fruits of his work. Thirdly, Allah has delegated to man the responsibility to decide for himself. Fourthly, man is sufficiently provided with spiritual guidance and endowed with rational qualities that enable him to make responsible, sound choices. Within the framework of this Islamic concept of freedom, there is no room for religious persecutions, class conflict, or racial prejudice. The individual’s right of freedom is as sacred as his right of Life; freedom is the equivalent of Life itself.

Anyone of you who sees wrong, let him undo it with his hand; and if he cannot, then let him speak against it with his tongue, and if he cannot do this either, then (let him abhor it) with his heart, and this is the least of faith.

The best of people is one from whom good accrues to humanity.

Deal gently with the people, and be not harsh; cheer them and condemn them not.”
(Prophet Muhummad- Peace be upon him)

There is no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error. Whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah has grasped the strongest bond that never breaks. Allahs knows all, and hears all things. (Qur’an, 2:256)

The Truth is from your Lord. Let him who wills, believe, and let him who wills, disbelieve. (Qur’an, 18:29)

We were always in the right place at the wrong time, the wrong place at the right time, always just missing each other, always just a few inches from figuring the whole thing out. That’s what the story boils down to, I think. A series of lost chances. All the pieces were there from the beginning, but no one knew how to put them together.

Hep yanlış zamanlarda doğru yerde, doğru zamanlarda yanlış yerdeydik. Hep kıl payı kaçırmıştık birbirimizi. Gerçeği yakalamaya hep birkaç santim uzakta kalakalmıştık. Bence işin özeti bu. Bir dizi kaçırılmış fırsat. Bütün parçalar baştan beri ortadaydı, ama kimse onları nasıl birleştirip bütünleştireceğini bilemiyordu.

Relation with  people is same as relation with fire. Don’t get too far, you will freeze; don’t get too close, you will burn.

İnsanlarla münasebetin, ateşle münasebetin gibi olsun. Çok uzaklaşma donarsın, çok yaklaşma yanarsın.

Saadi Shirazi

Know that every breath you take is an opportunity, You are not grass that will grow again nex year.

Aldığın her nefesi fırsat bil, ot değilsin yeniden bitmezsin.

That I feed the hungry, that I forgive an insult, that I love my enemy all these are undoubtedly great virtues. But what if I should discover that the least among them all, the poorest of all the beggars, the most impudent of all the offenders, the very enemy himself that these are within me, and that I myself stand in need of the alms of my own kindness that I myself am the enemy who must be loved, what then?

C.G. Jung, Memories, Dreams, Reflections

Your cure is within you, yet you do not sense it!
Your sickness is from you, yet you do not see it!
You consider yourself a small body;
Yet encapsulated within you is the entire universe!

Derdin sendendir bilmezsin,
Çaren de sendedir görmezsin,
Evrende bir noktayım sanırsın,
Tüm alemler kainat sen de özetlenmiştir de, görmezsin..

Your name is upon my tongue
Your image is in my sight
Your memory is in my Heart
Where can I send these words that I write?

Hayalin gözümde,
Adın dilimde,
Gönül garkı zikrin (yadın kalbimde)
O halde, ben, mektubu kime yazayım?

Never hold the hand you will let go…
And never let go of the hand you are to hold,
Rather than become a Rose to false love,
Be instead a thorn to true love. . .

Bırakacağın eli hiç tutma,
Tutacağın eli ise hiç bırakma.
Sahte sevgilere gül olmaktansa,
Gerçek sevgilere diken ol . . .

What we can learn from a donkey….Bir eşekten neler öğrenebiliriz….

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.

Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Moral: Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up. Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

 1. Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries – Most never happens.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have – Avoid “Israf” (extravagance, waste).
4. Give more – Charity purifies the soul.
5. Expect less from people but more from yourself – Practice “Ihsan” (perfect goodness).

There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great competition and rivalry between the two. There is a third power stronger than both, that of the women.
