If anyone looks with an unfavourable eye ,
Even the figure of Joseph will indicate ugliness ,
And if he looks with the eye of desire on a demon,
He will appear an angel, a cherub in his sigh.

Eğer kötü bir gözle (niyetle) bakarsan .
Yusuf’u bile çirkin görürsün.
Ve eğer,şeytana bile sevgiyle (şehvetle) bakarsan.
O senin gözünde bir meleğe dönüşür .

Shaikh Sa’di of Shiraz

  1. Hello my friend,
You’re so right. We need to remember it’s not the books cover, it’s what is on the inside that matters. And what is on the inside is all that matters. A very timely message. You’re very wise.

    May you receive many blessings.

    • Hello & Peace be upon you dear Melinda,

Prophet Muhammed said,Allah does not look at your appearance or your possessions; but He looks at your heart and your deeds.

    Assalamualaikum!
First of all – Thank Allah (S.W.T.) for sending me to your blog, or for sending you to my blog – it was meant to be, and I see that there is much kindness and wisdom in your heart.
Second of all, I just want to make a statement. I am a ‘revert’ to Islam. I was born a Muslim, but my parents raised me as a Christian – for they are Christians, but I found my way back to Islam – thus, we are not ‘converts’, we are ‘reverts’.
Third of all, and this is more of an observation about the Ummah as it stands today in the world. There are good and there are bad Muslims out there. And it is the bad ones who give Islam, the Religion of ‘Peace’ (Islam – Salaam – Peace) a really BAD REPUTATION to the world. That is why so many people from my country, America, are so against Islam, in fact, I fear there is much hatered against Muslims in the ‘Western World’ as a whole.
Let me, a revert to Islam remind good Muslims out there in the world, that what you see the ‘bad’ Muslims doing, the KILLING OF OTHER MUSLIMS – MUSLIMS KILLING MUSLIMS, or Muslims fighting non-Muslims and then treating the non-Muslims so Horrifically, is NOT Islamic! Let me recite for you from the Holy Qur’an, for Surah al-Nisa 4:93: “Allah Most High says: And if anyone kills a believer deliberately, his recompense is Hell, to remain therein forever. And Allah’s anger will be upon him and his curse, and a great punishment will be prepared for him.” This so called al-Qaeda, and now this and many other militant groups such as ISIS, are barbaric in their methodologies and deviant beliefs. The main JIHAD that all Muslims face is not againt other people, it is the Jihad within themselves to be the best Muslim they must be, and fight the evil thoughts and deeds they will do, or want to do, but because they remember Allah (S.W.T.), they restrain from evil, and aggression, and they fight the Jihad that is within themselves. “The Prophet (SAW) said: “When two Muslims meet with their swords, the one who kills and the one who is killed will go to Hell.” When he was asked, Messenger of Allah, Thatone was the killer. But what was wrong with the one who was killed?” He replied, “He was eager to kill his companion.” (This is found in Bukhari, Muslim and Ahmad ibn Hanbal). [Source for all of this is: “THE MAJOR SINS” (AL-KABA’R) by Muhammad bin Othman Adh-Dhahabi – he was born in Damascus in 673 H/1274 AD, and died in 1348 AD. – Published by Dar El fikr, Beirut, Lebanon in 1993.] Of the MAJOR SINS in Adh-Dhahabi’s book, “MURDER” is considered to be the SECOND most horrible of all sins. Now, consider what has been written here, and then look at the condition of the world today – it is a VERY SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS – Muslims are killing other Muslims left-and-right without any remorse. For they either do not know that MURDER is the SECOND MOST MAJOR SIN – when a Muslim kills another believer, or they simply have hate and ignorance in their heart and mind. That’s all I have to say. I am not a scholar, but I take the citation of a MAJOR SCHOLAR and simply relate it to you here in this great blog – Remember the words in Surah al-Nisa AND the teachings of the great scholar Adh-Dhahabi. Allah (S.W.T.) Knows Best ! Thank you and Assalamualaikum!
