A Bedouin came one day to the Prophet (SAW) and said to him, “O, Messenger of God! I’ve come to ask you a few questions about the affairs of this Life and the Hereafter.”

The Prophet (SAW) told him to ask what he wished.

Q: I’d like to be the most learned of men.
A: Fear God, and you will be the most learned of men.

Q: I wish to be the richest man in the world.
A: Be contented, and you will be the richest man in the world.

Q: I’d like to be the most just man.
A: Desire for others what you desire for yourself, and you will be the most just of men.

Q: I want to be the best of men.
A: Do good to others and you will be the best of men.

Q: I wish to be the most favoured by God.
A: Engage much in God’s praise, and you will be most favoured by Him.

Q: I’d like to complete my faith.
A: If you have good manners you will complete your faith

Q: I wish to be among those who do good.
A: Adore God as if you see Him. If you don ‘t see Him, He sees you. In this way you will be among those who do good.

Q: I wish to be obedient to God.
A: If you observe God’s commands you will be obedient.

Q: I’d like to be free from all sins.
A: Bathe yourself from impurities and you will be free from all sins.

Q: I’d like to be raised on the Day of Judgment in the light.
A: Don’t wrong yourself or any other creature, and you will be raised on the Day of Judgment in the light.

Q: I’d like God to bestow His mercy on me.
A: If you have mercy on yourself and others, God will grant you mercy on the Day of Judgment.

Q: I’d like my sins to be very few.
A: If you seek the forgiveness of God as much as you can, your sins will be very few.

Q: I’d like to be the most honourable of men.
A: If you do not complain to any follow creature, you will be the most honourable of men.

Q: I’d like to be the strongest of men.
A: If you put your trust in God, you will be the strongest of men.

Q: I’d like to enlarge my provision.
A: If you keep yourself pure, God will enlarge your provision.

Q: I’d like to be loved by God and His messenger.
A: If you love what God and His messenger love, you will be among their beloved ones.

Q: I wish to be safe from God’s wrath on the Day of Judgment.
A: If you do not lose your temper with any of your fellow creatures, you will be safe from the wrath
of God on the Day of Judgment.

Q: I’d like my prayers to be responded.
A: If you avoid forbidden actions, your prayers will he responded.

Q: I’d like God not to disgrace me on the Day of Judgment.
A: If you guard your chastity, God will not disgrace you on the Day of Judgment.

Q: I’d like God to provide me with a protective covering on the Day of Judgment.
A: Do not uncover your fellow creatures faults, and God will provide you with a protective covering on the Day of Judgment.

Q: What will save me from sins?
A: Tears, humility and illness.

Q: What are the best deeds in the eyes of God?
A: Gentle manners, modesty and patience.

Q: What are the worst evils in the eyes of God?
A: Hot temper and miserliness.

Q: What assuages the wrath of God in this life and in the Hereafter?
A: Concealed charity and kindness to relatives.

Q: What extinguishes hell’s fires on the Day of Judgment?
A: Patience in adversity and misfortunes.

Bir gün, bir adam Peygamber Efendimiz’in yanına gelerek, “Size dünya ve ahiretle alakalı soracak sorularım var.” der.

Bunun üzerine Peygamberimiz o kimseye, “Ne istiyorsan sor.” buyururlar. Ardından o kişi ile Peygamber Efendimiz arasında bizim de pek çok dersler çıkarabileceğimiz şu diyalog yaşanır:

S:İnsanların en zengini olmak istiyorum. Ne yapmalıyım?

C:Kanaatkâr olursan insanların en zengini olursun.

S:İnsanların en hayırlısı olmak istiyorum.

C:İnsanların en hayırlısı, insanlara faydalı olandır. Sen de insanlara faydalı ol.

S:İnsanların en adaletlisi olmak istiyorum.

C:Kendin için istediğini insanlar için de istersen insanların en adili olursun.

S:İnsanlar içinde Allah’a en yakın, O’nun en has kullarından olmak istiyorum.

C:Allah’ı çok zikredip anar ve hatırlarsan o zaman Allah’ın en has kulu olursun. 

S:Muhsinlerden, iyilik edenlerden olmak istiyorum.

C:Allah’a, O’nu görüyor gibi ibadet et, her ne kadar sen O’nu görmesen de O seni görüyor.

S:İmanımı kemale erdirmek istiyorum.

C:Güzel ahlaklı olursan imanın kemale erer.

S:Kıyamet günü nur içinde haşrolmak istiyorum.

C:Hiç kimseye zulmetme, kıyamet günü nur içinde haşrolursun. Önce kendine ve insanlara merhamet et ki; Allah da sana merhamet etsin.

S:Günahlarımın azalmasını istiyorum.

C:İstiğfar ederek günahlarının bağışlanması için Allah’a yalvarırsan günahların azalır.

S:İnsanların en kerimi olmak istiyorum.

C:Allah’a kullarını şikayet etmezsen insanların kerimi olursun.

S:Rızkımın bol olmasını istiyorum.

C:Temizliğe devam edersen rızkın bol olur.

S:Allah ve Resulü tarafından sevilmek istiyorum.

C:O zaman Allah ve Resulü’nün sevdiklerini sev, sevmediklerini de sevme.

S:Allah’ın bana kızmasından kendimi korumak istiyorum.

C:Kimseye kızmazsan Allah’ın gazabından ve kızmasından kurtulursun.

S:Duamın kabul edilmesini istiyorum.

C:Haramlardan sakınırsan duaların kabul olur.

S:Allah’ın beni başkalarının yanında rezil etmemesini istiyorum. 

C:Namusunu koruyup iffetli ol ki; insanlar yanında rezil olmayasın.

S:Allah’ın ayıplarımı, kusurlarımı örtmesini istiyorum. 

C:Kardeşlerinin ayıplarını örtersen Allah da senin ayıplarını örter.

S:Benim günahlarımı ne siler?

C:Gözyaşların, hudûun (saygıyla Allah’a kulluğun) ve hastalıklar.

S:Allah yanında hangi özellikler daha faziletlidir?

C:Güzel ahlak, tevazu, belalara sabır ve kazaya rıza.

S:Allah yanında en büyük günah hangisidir?

Kötü ahlak ve Allah’ın emirlerine karşı gösterilen cimrilik.

S:Rahman Allah’ın rahmetini ne coşturur?

C:Gizliden gizliye sadaka vermek ve sıla-i rahim (akrabaları ziyaret ve görüp gözetmek).

S:Cehennem ateşini ne söndürür?

C:Oruç.

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet sallaAllahu alayhe wasallam said, “Who among you will accept of me the following words and adopt and execute their meaning or teach someone to adopt them and act according to them?” Abu Hurayrah replied, “I, ya Rasulullah!”

Abu Hurayrah said, “So he held my hand and counted five things according to my five fingers as follows:

-Keep away from prohibited things and you will be the best of worshippers.

-Be content with what Allah has given you, and you will be the richest of people.

-Be good to your neighbor and you will be a true believer.

-Love for other people what you love for yourself and you will be a (perfect) Muslim.

-Do not laugh too much, for excessive laughter deadens the heart.”

Hz. Ebu Hureyre radıyallahu anh anlatıyor: “Bir gün, Resûlullah aleyhissâlatu vesselâm ashâbına: “Şu kelimeleri kim benden) alıp onlarla amel edecek ve onlarla amel edecek olana öğretecek?” buyurdular. Ben hemen atılıp:

“Ben! Ey Allah’ın Resûlü!” dedim. Aleyhissalâtu vesselâm elimden tuttu ve beş şey saydı:

- Haramlardan sakın, AIlah’ın en âbid kulu ol!

- Allah’ın sana ayırdığına razı ol, insanların en zengini ol!

- Komşuna ihsanda bulun, mü’min ol.

- Kendin için istediğini başkaları için de iste, müslüman ol!

- Fazla gülme. Çünkü fazla gülmek kalbi öldürür.”

It is better to sit alone than incompany with the bad; and it is better still to sit with the good than alone.

It is better to speak to a seeker of Knowledge than  to remain silent;but silence is better than idle words…

Yalnız yaşamak, kötü arkadaşla oturmaktan daha hayırlıdır.İyi arkadaşla oturmak ise yalnızlıktan hayırlıdır.

Birine güzel bir söz söylemek susmaktan hayırlıdır.Susmak kötü söz söylemekten daha hayırlıdır..

“A man follows the religion of his close friend, so each of you should be very careful about whom he takes as a close friend.”

Ebu Hureyre Radıyallahu anh anlatıyor: “Resulullah aleyhisselatu vesselam buyurdular ki:

Kişi dostunun dini üzeredir. Öyleyse her biriniz, kiminle dostluk kuracağına dikkat etsin.”

Hadrat ‘Umar used to ask himself every day, “O ‘Umar, what have you done today for Allah?
Hz.Ömer(a.s.)’in her gün kendisine sorarmış ”Ey Ömer Bu gün Allah için Ne yaptın?

Dear friend,What have you done today for Allah?
Canım Arkadaşım ,Bugün Allah için Ne yaptın ?

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:

Who has observed fast among you today?

Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) replied: It is I.

He (the Holy Prophet again) said: Who among you followed the bier today?

Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) replied: It is I.

He (the Holy Prophet again) said: Who among you fed a poor man today?

Abu Bakr (Allah he pleased with him) replied: It is I.

He (again) said: Who among you visited an invalid today?

Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) said: It is I.

Upon this the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:

Anyone in whom (these good deeds) are combined will certainly, enter paradise.

Ebu Hüreyre hazretleri rivayet etti…Peygamber efendimiz sahabilerle sohbet ediyordu ve şöyle sordu…

“Bugün hanginiz oruçludur?”

“Ben, yâ Re­sû­lal­lah.” dedi Hz. Ebû Bekir.

Peygamberimiz, “Bugün hanginiz bir cenazeyi takip etti?” diye sordu.

Ebû Bekir, ”Ben, yâ Re­sû­lal­lah.” diye cevap verdi.

Peygamberimiz, “Bugün sizden kim bir fakiri doyurdu?” diye sordu.

Ebû Bekir, “Ben doyurdum, yâ Re­sû­lal­lah.” dedi.

Peygamberimiz, “İçinizden kim bir hasta ziyaret etti?” diye sordu.

Yine Hz. Ebû Bekir, “Ben!” cevabını verince, Allah’ın Resûl’ü tebessüm ede­rek şu müjdeyi verdi:

“Bu hasletler kimde toplanırsa, işte o, cennete girer.

Abu Hurayrah radhiyallahu anhu said, “I heard Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam say,

“What do you think would happen if there was a river by someone’s door in which he washed five times every day? Do you think that any dirt would remain on him?”

They said, “Not a scrap of dirt would remain on him.”

He said, “That is a metaphor of the five prayers by which Allah wipes out wrong actions.”

Ebû Hüreyre radıyallahu anh’den rivayet edildiğine göre, Resûlullah sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem’i şöyle buyururken işittiğini söyledi:

- “Ne dersiniz? Birinizin kapısının önünde bir nehir olsa da, o kimse her gün bu nehirde beş defa yıkansa, kirinden bir şey kalır mı?”

Sahâbîler: O kimsenin kirinden hiçbir şey kalmaz, dediler .

Resûl-i Ekrem: “Beş vakit namaz işte bunun gibidir Allah beş vakit namazla günahları silip yok eder” buyurdular..

There is a spring rising up even from the graves

What comes out of the deathman when there is the Beloved

There is an existence apart from existence and inexistence

I am not the only guilty one

There is an evil eye that ravages me

There are lines to sing adoring that song

No matter what they do,there is a will that comes from the sky

What happens if the day falls there is an architect who fixes the night

What If I am burnt,there is a fortress made of my ashes

There is a victory that grows in each failure

You have the key to reach the secret of all secrets

There is a vein in your heart that calls your banishment back

Oh, Beloved.

Uzatma dünya sürgünümü benim

Ülkendeki kuslardan ne haber vardir

Mezarlardan bile yükselen bir bahar vardir

Ask celladindan ne çikar madem ki yar vardir

Yoktanda vardan da ötede bir Var vardir

Hep suç bende degil beni yakip yikan bir nazar vardir

O sarkiya özenip söylenecek misralar vardir

Sakin kader deme kaderin üstünde bir kader vardir

Ne yapsalar bos göklerden gelen bir karar vardir

Gün batsa ne olur geceyi onaran bir mimar vardir

Yanmissam külümden yapilan bir hisar vardir

Yenilgi yenilgi büyüyen bir zafer vardir

Sirlarin sirrina ermek için sende anahtar vardir

Gögsünde sürgününü geri çagiran bir damar vardir

Senden umut kesmem kalbinde merhamet adli bir çinar vardir

Abu Huraira (May Allah be pleased with him) reported

Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu Aleihi Wa Sallam) as saying that ALLAH (SWT), the Exalted and Glorious, thus stated:
“I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me,
And I am with him as he remembers Me.
And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart,
And if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance),
And if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit,
And if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands.
And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.”

 Hz. Ebu Hureyre radıyALLAHu anh anlatıyor: “Resûlullah aleyhissalâtu vesselâm buyurdular ki:“ALLAH Teâla hazretleri diyor ki:

“Ben, kulumun hakkımdaki zannı gibiyim.

O, beni andıkça ben onunla beraberim.

O, beni içinden anarsa ben de onu içimden anarım.

O, beni bir cemaat içinde anarsa, ben de onu daha hayırlı bir cemaat içinde anarım.

O, şayet bana bir karış yaklaşacak olursa, ben ona bir zira yaklaşırım.

Eğer o, bana bir zira yaklaşırsa ben ona bir kulaç yaklaşırım.

Kim bana yürüyerek gelirse ben ona koşarak giderim.

Kim bana şirk koşmaksızın bir arz dolusu günahla gelse, ben de onu bir o kadar mağfiretle karşılarım.”

On the last day of one Sha’ban, Prophet Muhammad (saws), gave a Khutbah about the upcoming month of Ramadan. It is a very important Khutbah that we should carefully read before every Ramadan to prepare ourselves mentally for the sacred month.

It begins:

“Oh people! A great month is coming to you. A blessed month. A month in which there is one night that is better than a thousand months. A month in which Allah has made it compulsory upon you to fast by day, and voluntary to pray by night.
Whoever draws nearer to Allah by performing any of the voluntary good deeds in this month shall receive the same reward as is there for performing an obligatory deed at any other time. And whoever discharges an obligatory deed in this month shall receive the reward of performing seventy obligations at any other time.

It is the month of Sabr (patience), and the reward for sabr is Heaven. It is the month of kindness and charity. It is a month in which a believer’s sustenance is increased.

Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without the latter’s reward being diminished at all.” 

Peygamberimiz Şâban ayının son gününde okuduğu bir hutbede sahabilere şöyle sesleniyordu:

‘Ey insanlar! Büyük ve mübarek bir ay yaklaştı gölgesi başınıza geldi.
‘Bu öyle bir aydır ki içinde bin aydan daha hayırlı olan Kadir Gecesi vardır.
‘Allah o mübarek ayın gündüzlerinde orucu farz gecelerinde nafile namazları meşru kıldı.
‘Bu ayda küçük büyük bir hayır yapan insan başka aylarda bir farz eda etmiş gibi sevap alır.
‘Bu ayda bir farzı yapmak başka aylarda yetmiş farz yerine geçer.
‘Bu ay Allah için açlık ve susuzluğun taat ve ibadetin zorluklarına sabretme ve dayanma ayıdır. Sabrın karşılığı da ancak Cennettir.
‘Bu ay yardımlaşma ayıdır bu ay mü’minlerin rızkını arttıracak aydır.
‘Bu ayda her kim oruçlu bir mü’mine iftar edecek bir şey verirse yaptığı bu iş günahlarının bağışlanmasına ve Cehennemden kurtulmasına sebep olur. Oruçlunun sevabından da hiçbir şey eksilmeden onun kadar sevaba kavuşur.
